Emergency Management Potential for Flooding Overnight

Producers along streams, creeks or near the river need to be aware of the potential for flooding overnight.  The KBDI (soil moisture index) is saturated and should this system stall and produce 7” or more rain anywhere in the county, rapid runoff could cause small stream and creek flooding.  We are also concerned about the upriver flooding potential for the San Marcos River.  Each National Weather Service map revision has moved this system closer to our area.  We do not anticipate the target to move over Caldwell County, but we are preparing for the potential.
